Week two of the SRM Series brings us to the beers that are brown or amber in color! DIPAs, Browns, Marzens, etc. So many excellent styles fall within this range so we were looking forward to a broad selection of beers for tonight’s class. Let’s see what we tried.

And our winner this week was Barrel Aged Vermillion 2022 from Perennial Artisan Ales taking half of the total votes for the evening! This English-style barleywine was aged for 24 months in whiskey barrels at a ratio of 23% Heaven Hill and 77% Buffalo Trace barrels. Cheers!
Next week we are embracing darkness by drinking beers that are SRM 20 and higher, which should lead to some excellent beers showing up!
